It’s that time of year again, National Carers Week and we’re proud to pause, reflect, and celebrate the incredible contributions of unpaid carers across Australia.
These everyday heroes provide vital physical, emotional, and practical support to family members and friends living with disability, chronic illness, mental health challenges, or age-related needs, often without recognition, without pay, and without a break.
At Eremea, we believe their love, resilience and dedication are nothing short of extraordinary. ❤️
So… What is National Carers Week?
National Carers Week is a nationwide celebration of the millions of unpaid carers in Australia. Whether you’re helping your mum with her medication, supporting a partner with mobility needs, or simply being there day after day, you are a carer, and you deserve to be recognised. But here at Eremea, we say: this week isn’t enough. Every carer deserves appreciation every single day.
How Eremea Supports You
Caring can be deeply rewarding, but let’s be honest, it can also be exhausting, overwhelming, and isolating. That’s where Eremea steps in. Our support workers and carers are here to walk alongside unpaid carers, offering help, relief, and extra hands when they’re needed most.
Whether it’s:
☕ A friendly visit and chat to keep a loved one company
🛍️ Help with grocery shopping or appointments
🚗 Transport to a favourite social club or outing
🧼 Assistance with daily living and personal care
…our team is here to complement the work of unpaid carers, not replace it. We’re all in this together.
At Eremea, care is personal. From helping one client get to his weekly community BBQ, to laughing over word searches with another, we focus on the little moments that matter. We’re proud to support families and help ease the pressure on those caring for someone they love, because caring shouldn’t mean doing it all on your own.
